Public Awareness

The goal of truly sustainable land management is one that cannot be achieved without the assistance of every individual who had an impact on the land.  From those who’s connection to the land is overt, such as farmers and environmental professional, to the average citizen with a small kitchen garden or simple lawn, responsibility for the state and health of the land on which we live is something that must be taken seriously.

Only as a synchronized effort can land degradation be attenuated, and a truly synchronized effort requires the sharing of information that is vital to the preservation of lands and the continued productivity of the environment.

For this reason, public awareness is an extremely important component of any Sustainable Land Management movement.  Here, we will keep you up to date with the latest studies, findings, workshops and seminars to expand and refine your knowledge of Land Degradation and Sustainable Land Management.
